Welcome to the issues of La Voz, El Instituto's newsletter.
El Instituto is a merger and revision of all the constituent elements of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS, est. 1974) and the Institute of Puerto Rican and Latino Studies (IPRLS, est. 1994). El Instituto's faculty and graduate students are involved in research and teaching focused on hemispheric Latina/o diasporas, U.S. Latina/os, Latin American and Caribbean societies, and U.S./Latin American relations. Their work relates to themes such as coloniality, race, migration, education, media, economics, health, cultural studies, & human rights.
