The Department of Economics and El Instituto have partnered with the UConn Foundation team to set up a memorial scholarship fund in honor of Jorge, who passed away in May of 2023. Condolences may be shared online; his obituary is on the Potter Funeral Home website.
All contributions to the fund will go towards graduate student scholarships for UConn economics Ph.D. students and master’s students at El Instituto, with a preference for students working on topics related to Jorge’s research.
